Mechanical Project Engineer (M&E / Healthcare / West)

Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong site problem-solving skills and effective coordination with clients and stakeholders.
- Apply sound engineering knowledge, including design principles and relevant codes of practice in building services.
- Ensure materials and installations by suppliers and subcontractors comply with ISO quality plans.
- Coordinate, monitor, and control suppliers’ materials, equipment, and subcontractors’ installation quality.
- Prepare and coordinate shop drawings and other technical drawings.
- Develop work schedules and participate in client and internal coordination meetings.
- Support the manager in daily site activities, including planning, quality, and safety matters.
- Coordinate closely with the main contractor to prevent rework and site issues.
- Manage site materials and equipment to minimize wastage.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to prevent delivery delays and ensure project progress.
- Identify and address non-conformance in products or installations to prevent defects.
- Explore new technologies and installation methods to improve productivity.
- Monitor site progress closely and maintain clear communication with suppliers and subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a contractor or construction environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Certified ISO Internal Quality Auditor is an added advantage.
- Building Construction Safety Supervisor (BCSS) certification is an added advantage.
