Mechanical Supervising Engineer
- Perform mechanical inspection and supervision works, including welding inspection, in accordance with client specifications, applicable standards and approved procedures.
- Ensure all inspection activities meet contractual, technical, quality and safety requirements.
- Support Industrial Services in maintaining market leadership through technical excellence, service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Achieve agreed work volume targets for mechanical services in coordination with BU Head, Technical Manager and Project Manager.
- Contribute to continuous business growth through effective execution, strong performance and professional customer relationships.
- Improve the quality, safety and scheduling efficiency of mechanical inspection services, including welding inspection activities.
- Monitor and update changes in inspection technologies, methods and international standards impacting service quality.
- Proactively recommend technical and procedural improvements to the Division Manager when required.
- Conduct mechanical and welding inspection works in a professional, independent and ethical manner.
- Review, verify and sign off Field Inspection Reports to confirm full compliance with technical requirements.
- Provide technical training and competency development for inspectors, including probation and ongoing training programs.
- Support Division Manager and Technical Manager in reviewing customer complaints and potential claims related to mechanical or welding issues.
- Ensure full understanding of and compliance with Global, National and Division Quality Management Systems.
- Maintain and develop Division Quality Management practices, including control and review of SGS and client SOPs related to technical and inspection activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Technical Manager or Division Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical inspection or supervision roles.
- Strong hands‑on experience with pressure vessels, piping systems, welding inspection and NDT activities.
- Solid knowledge and practical application of international codes and standards such as ASME, AWS, ISO and API.
- Valid CSWIP 3.1 or CWI certification for welding inspection is mandatory.
- Hold Level II of UT, MT, PT, RT are prefered.
- Strong work ethic with high integrity and reliability.
- Excellent awareness of safety, quality and risk control requirements.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in technical assessment and reporting.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong ability to follow technical procedures, inspection methods and safety rules.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and project requirements.
- Willingness to travel to client sites and project locations.
- Physical requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, push, pull and handle inspection equipment.
- Ability to climb and work at height on ladders, stairs and scaffolding exceeding 100 feet.
- Ability to work extended hours and stand for long periods when required.
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments and near industrial hazards.
- Good visual acuity, including color vision, and effective communication ability.
