Mechanical Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and update mechanical maintenance plans and schedules to ensure alignment with terminal standards, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, commissioning and replacement of mechanical equipment including Boil-off Gas (BOG) compressors, cryogenic pumps, marine loading arms, storage tanks and pressure vessels
- Supervise contractors and vendors to ensure safe and reliable mechanical work and improvement projects
- Review and analyse equipment performance to identify anomalies and recommend improvements to optimise equipment reliability and lifespan
- Prepare and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PM) checklists, Method Statements and Risk Assessments (MSRAs) as required.
- Monitor and achieve maintenance KPIs, including coaching and guidance of technicians
- Plan and manage manpower deployment for maintenance activities
- Support spare parts and warehouse management activities, including stock checks, critical spare reviews, purchase requisitions
- Provide scope of work, raise Purchase Requisitions (PRs), and participate in vendor evaluation for outsourced maintenance services or technical work
- Assist in budget forecasting, monitoring expenditures and manage approved budget
- Participate in emergency response procedures and be assigned to any specific roles and responsibilities for such purpose.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of mechanical and maintenance experience, including 3 years’ in supervisory capacity, preferably in oil and gas, petrochemical or related industries
- Must have Rotating equipment hands on experience, have experience managing technicians and managing maintenance budget, added advantage if have experience using SAP for maintenance scheduling
- Sound knowledge of local codes, regulatory standards, equipment inspection schedules and legislative compliance
- Hands-on experience in repair and maintenance of complex static and rotating equipment, reciprocating compressors and engines, piping and valves is essential
- Certifications in API standards, vibration analysis or related mechanical diagnostic techniques will be an advantage
- Physically fit and able to participate in emergency response duties, including as part of the CERT
