Mechanical System Engineer
TOPPAN Next Tech is expanding its Security Solutions and Services (SSS) division to enhance its business edge and pursue exciting opportunities in the market place for:
- Multi Modal Biometrics (face, fingerprint, iris)
- Key Installation Protection (military bases, protected buildings, secured facilities)
- Vehicle Access Control (2FA, biometric authentication, vehicle barrier boom, digital I/O, relays)
- Personal Access Control (autogates, turnstiles, registration kiosks, biometric authentication)
- Automated Border Clearance Management
- Industrial Automation and Robotics
- Mobile digital ID
The Job:
- Installation and deployment of electrical and mechanical integrated systems, ensuring correct functionality and efficiency
- Regularly maintain and update system diagrams, diagnose issues, and implement solutions as required
- Leading system implementation activities, including hardware setup and termination of mechanical, electrical, and network endpoints, to ensure timely and quality project completion
- Documentation of installation processes and operation protocols for future reference
- Provision of technical support and training to staff on mechanical and electrical system setup
- Ensuring compliance with industry safety standards of all implementation, operations, and maintenance activities
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues related to integrated systems' hardware, electrical, and mechanical components
- Managing site implementation processes and coordinating project phases for smooth site implementation
- Installation and commissioning of on-site equipment to ensure regular operation
- Providing customer training support on equipment usage and maintenance to ensure correct handling
- With a solid knowledge of firmware and software for troubleshooting purposes
- Completion of ad hoc tasks assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Extensive experience, three years in installing and optimising integrated systems within a system integration environment, preferably in the IT security and automation industry
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple installation projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with safety regulatory requirements and standards in terms of mechanical, electrical and end-point termination
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
