Mechanical Technician
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Coordination & Client Liaison
- Attend and actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with the client.
- Communicate work progress, highlight operational issues, and align daily priorities.
- Manpower Planning & Supervision
- Plan, schedule, and deploy workers effectively to meet operational and project requirements.
- Manage 12-hour shift operations and ensure adequate manpower coverage.
- Provide duty coverage during manpower shortages, including support on off days when necessary.
- Maintain workers’ discipline, site order, and compliance with company and safety regulations.
- Work Planning & Execution
- Assist the Senior Supervisor in developing servicing and preventive maintenance plans.
- Coordinate and supervise site activities to ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.
- Provide hands-on support for troubleshooting, rectification, and maintenance works when required.
- Technical Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical or electrical maintenance and repair works.
- Ensure equipment and systems remain in good operational condition.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and urgent site issues.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Issue Permit to Work (PTW) daily in accordance with safety procedures.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly traffic controllers’ reports.
- Source and obtain quotations for materials, services, or subcontract works as required.
- Training & Certification
- Obtain and maintain relevant certifications such as CERT team, forklift operation, confined space, and supervisory safety courses.
- Continuously upgrade technical and supervisory competencies to meet project standards.
