Mechanical Tools Calibration Technician
Job Description
The Mechanical Tools Calibration Technician is responsible for performing accurate calibration, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical measuring instruments, with a primary focus on torque wrenches, calipers and micrometers. The role ensures compliance with quality standards (such as ISO 9000 and ISO 17025) and contributes to reliable and consistent measurement results.
Responsibilities:
- Perform calibration of mechanical measuring equipment
- Prepare calibration certificates in accordance with applicable standards and procedures
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical deviations or issues
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments when required
- Follow established procedures, work instructions, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 17025)
- Accurately record measurement data in relevant systems
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean / Kaizen) within the laboratory

Experience:
- Proven experience in the calibration of mechanical measuring instruments
- Hands-on experience with torque wrenches and dimensional measurement is highly preferred
- Strong technical insight and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of or affinity with light electronics (preferred)
- High level of accuracy and structured working approach
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
