Mechatronics Assembly Technician

About Frencken
At Frencken Mechatronics we build the modules and systems that go inside the most advanced machines in the world - from semiconductor fabs to medical devices and analytical instruments. From our site in Eindhoven we partner with leading multinationals on solutions where precision and quality leave no room for compromise.

Big ambitions need curious minds.

We are a team of ambitious specialists where curiosity is contagious, ideas are welcome, and every colleague matters. Together we work on the unthinkable today - to make it real tomorrow.

The role
As a Mechatronics Assembly Technician at Frencken, you independently assemble, align, and test complex high-tech modules that sit at the heart of machines shaping global industries. You work in project teams on both first-of-series builds and recurring modules -and your craftsmanship is directly visible in what leaves our floor.

What you'll make happen

  • Independently assemble, integrate, and test complex mechatronic modules and sub-assemblies - in cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments
  • Spot technical issues during assembly and resolve them together with engineering and the customer
  • Propose smarter assembly methods and improve work instructions and production processes
  • Safeguard quality through checks and cross-checks until every product fully meets specification
  • For NPI projects: determine the right assembly approach, validate design choices, and help shape improvements with engineering
  • Represent production towards the customer, side-by-side with the Production Engineer
  • Share your knowledge and, with enough experience, grow into a trainer role for your colleagues
  • Work to cleanroom and company standards, and keep your workplace safe and organised

What you bring

  • A completed technical education (MBO 3/4 Mechatronics or HBO Mechatronics / Mechanical Engineering) - or 1–3 years of experience in fine-mechanical assembly
  • Hands-on knowledge of mechatronics, mechanics, electronics, bonding, pneumatics, and device alignment
  • Analytical mindset and strong communication skills
  • Proactive, flexible, and quality-oriented — and steady under time pressure
  • A real passion for technology: you want to understand how things work

Nice to have

  • Experience with vacuum technology (a strong plus)
  • Cleanroom experience or work in regulated environments

What we offer
At Frencken you will join an informal team of people as passionate about technology as you are. You'll work on fascinating projects with microscopic tolerances, across different customers - and there's always someone around to teach you something new.

We reward that passion with:

  • A competitive salary and excellent benefits under the CAO Metalektro
  • 27 vacation days + 13 ADV days
  • Bonus scheme based on both company and individual performance
  • Varied work across multiple customers and projects
  • Opportunity to develop yourself and grow within the organisation
  • A warm, collegial team where you are seen and valued
