A Brief Overview
Coordinates and produces the content development of multimedia and video production projects, and oversees technology implementation to meet organization goals. Contributor to the promotion of facility's/system's communication and educational needs through multiple delivery systems, digital and physical. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.
What you will do
- Oversees equipment maintenance and accountability and determines departmental needs related to new capital acquisition.
- Maintains required records, reports, statistics for administrative and budget purposes and budget preparation.
- Assists in preparing annual expense and capital budgets.
- Coordinates video projects.
- Maintains all video production quality standards.
- Directs media production strategy.
- Manages the media production hardware, software and accessories.
Education/Formal Training Requirements
- Required - Bachelor's Degree Communications
- Preferred - Bachelor's Degree Journalism
- Preferred - Bachelor's Degree Marketing
Work Experience Requirements
- Required - Media production 5-7 years
- Preferred - Healthcare
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of digital production processes.
- In-depth understanding of both technical and creative processes.
- Knowledge of multimedia use on the web; i.e. Flash / YouTube conversion, compression, posting techniques.
- Knowledge of relevant multimedia production software.
- Knowledge of the operation and maintenance for various types of A/V conference room equipment and systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional video production skills including; pre-production coordination, lighting, camera operation, post production editing and media conversion / distribution.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize, coordinate, organize multiple tasks and maintain control of own workflow.
Supervision Provided by this Position
- This position oversees videography content contributors for designated facility, system or department. Supervises the Media Production Specialist, Media Production PRN Associates, and the Media Production Contractors.
Physical Demands
- The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
- Must have good balance and coordination.
- The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
- The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
- The conditions to which the Associate will be subject in this position: The Associate is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work.
