Medical Assistant, Full time, Days - Pediatric Cardiology - Morristown

Responsible for rooming patients. Preforms 15 lead EKG, O2 sat, 4 extremity blood pressures, U/A, heart rate, height and weight. Take medical history and document medications.


Principal Accountabilities:

• Takes vital signs, such as but not limited to pulse rate, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts
• Prepares rooms for examination of patients and asks patients questions regarding chief complaint. .
• Cleans room and equipment after each patient.
• Manages the medical inventory and orders medical supplies and materials.
• Operates electrocardiograph (EKG), and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests.
• Keys data into the computer system to maintain office and patient records.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required:

• 2 years of experience in Physicians practice, as a Medical Assistant or relevant area.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

• Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program.
