Medical Imaging Analyst -Radiology Research

The Medical Imaging Analyst utilizes both commercially available and proprietary image registration, image analysis, and depending upon assignment, tracer kinetic modeling software. The Analyst is responsible for ensuring high standards of data collection, image reconstruction, and data analysis. The incumbent is main person responsible for both routine and non-routine data processing and analysis of analysis of images in our research programs. Depending upon assignment, may perform work in neural disorders, Alzheimer's Disease, kinetic studies, and other areas.

A Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics, or other related field of study is required. Additional graduate study or course work in specialty area or M.S. or equivalent is preferred. Knowledge of basic mathematics and proficiency with computers are required. Direct experience in one of these areas is desired: Biomedical imaging, MRI imaging, image processing, database management.

Additional Experience and/or Qualifications:

Applicants should have strong physics and computer skills, enthusiasm for working in a team-oriented research environment, as well as the ability to carefully organize and carry out imaging and image-processing projects within a team setting. Knowledge of fundamental physics principles, experience with operating complex equipment, such as a CT scanner, is strongly recommended, along with previous experience in medical imaging or medical physics. Experience with data measurement and analysis techniques is preferred. Should have solid experience with Matlab and C++. Knowledge of Python, artificial intelligence and machine learning software tools, is highly desirable.
