MEDICAL INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN (ULTRASOUND SONOGRAPHER)

The Ultrasound Technologist coordinates a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative in the application of non-ionizing high frequency ultrasonic waves to humans for diagnosis of disease. On-call every 5th weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday with occasional weekday call responsibility.

Diagnostic Ultrasound Technicians operate diagnostic ultrasonic scanning equipment to produce cross sectional and two dimensional pictures of internal organs and body structures used to diagnose diseases and other medical conditions.
