MEL Officer

The MERLI Associate will support the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, Learning, and Impact Creation (MERLI) team in developing MEL plans, logical frameworks, and work plans; supporting data collection through field visits; contributing to research protocol development and ensuring ethical approvals; conducting data analysis; and preparing reports and presentations for internal use and external dissemination. The role requires flexibility to support other tasks as needed.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/div>
  • Support the MEL team in developing the overall MEL plan, logical frameworks, and work plans.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Conduct field monitoring visits and assist in gathering qualitative insights during project data collection activities.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Support the MEL team in developing research protocols and ensure approval from the required Research Ethics Committee and local IRB (as applicable), ensuring the protection of human subjects.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Assist in the development of reports, presentations, and templates for effective internal use and dissemination at the state and national levels.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Maintain the highest standards of data confidentiality and privacy.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    Requirements<\/h3>
    • Education: Master\u2019s degree in Statistics, Economics, Epidemiology, or Public Health.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Experience: 2\u20134 years of relevant Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) experience.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Technical Skills: Strong grounding in M&E frameworks, research design, sampling techniques, data collection methods, and statistical analysis, with proficiency in tools such as R, Stata, or SPSS.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Collaboration: Skilled at working effectively with geographically dispersed teams and in a multicultural environment.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant statistical software.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
