About the Position
The Member Logistics & Advocacy Specialist (Guidance & Advocacy) is responsible for supporting member stability, readiness, and day-to-day logistical needs throughout New Freedom programming. This role ensures members’ clothing, hygiene, mail, room readiness, and essential resource needs are managed in a timely, organized, and trauma-informed manner while maintaining safety, documentation, and compliance standards. The Member Logistics & Advocacy Specialist functions as a key operational support within the Guidance & Advocacy department, working collaboratively with Mentorship, Operations, Facilities, and Supervisory staff to promote continuity of care and a supportive environment for members. This role assists with new member tours and oversight of housing accommodations and related logistics, delivering mission-aligned messaging, and serving as a positive role model in personal recovery.
Your Impact Will Include:
- Prepare and organize clothing, hygiene kits, and room readiness materials for new members entering New Freedom programming.
- Receive, sort, inventory, and store donated and purchased clothing, hygiene items, and office supplies, coordinating replenishment as needed.
- Assist members in accessing donation items, completing needs assessments, and providing appropriate redirection or de‑escalation support within scope.
- Manage all incoming and outgoing member mail, including logging, obtaining signatures, supervising safe mail opening, and maintaining daily mail records.
- Scan, upload, and organize correspondence in CRM and Electronic Health Record systems, creating new accounts and documenting required interactions.
- Organize graduate, discharge, pre‑intake, and internal mail according to program guidelines and deliver items to appropriate departments.
- Support facility tours and logistical preparation for new member onboarding in alignment with approved messaging and program standards.
- Performing additional duties as assigned to support our mission.

Where You’ll Work
- Requires occasional travel to program sites/facilities
- Requires driving and operation of a motor vehicle, as needed
- Using standard office equipment, plus plenty of face-to-face interaction.
- Some days will require long periods of sitting, standing, or walking.
