Mental Health Nurse / Psychology

Psychiatric nurse is responsible for providing care to patients and their families in relation to their mental and medical health.

Duties and responsibilities:

· Collaborating with the patient and multidisciplinary team on psychiatric intervention plans for patients.

· Building relationships with patients and their families to understand the holistic needs whilst maintaining trust with the patient.

· Provide evidence-based individual therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy for depression and anxiety.

· Administering medication where required.

· Monitoring patient’s adherence to any non-medical treatment plans provided.

· Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients and family.

· Maintain strict confidentiality.

· Attend training to acquire further knowledge.

· Collect and record data on patient behavior, health journeys acting on any alterations needed in treatment plans.

· Removing potentially harmful and triggering environmental features for patients.

· Support patients in the management of their emotions, i.e using de-escalation techniques.

· Collaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of clients, patients, parents, and staff.

Degree in mental health / behavioural health or equivalent with 5 Years post qualification experience

Currently licensed as a mental health nurse or equivalent

Key Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent IT skills including use of electronic medical records systems

  • Fluency in English and Ukraine

Essential Capabilities:

  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under high-stress work conditions

  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplined team, with clinical and non-clinical personnel
