Education and Required Skills
- Masters from an accredited university in the field of social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, clinical counseling or other related and pertinent field.
- Minimum 1 year experience in providing outpatient mental health therapy services to individuals, couples, and/or families.
- Knowledge of mental health conditions and best practices for treatment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Organization skills to maintain up-to-date clinical records.
- Familiarity with privacy, health, and safety laws.
Clinical Expectations
As a full-time Mental Health Therapist, expectations include:
- Maintain an average of approximately 104-121 scheduled client sessions per month (approximately 24-28 sessions per week) , allowing for flexibility based on client needs, holidays, and practice operations. This number may be altered slightly to accommodate supervision and training needs.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation in accordance with CSC policies outlined in the Employee Handbook and applicable regulatory standards.
- Attend and actively participate in weekly team meetings and clinical consultations as scheduled.
- Consult and collaborate with team members and leadership as appropriate to support quality care and professional growth.
- Maintain active clinical licensure and adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal standards required by applicable state licensing boards.
- Maintain appropriate professional communication with clients, care teams, collaterals, and/or caregivers in alignment with CSC policies and HIPAA requirements.
- Maintain accurate and ethical billing practices in collaboration with the Operations Manager and administrative team.
- Provide clinically appropriate, evidence-informed care consistent with CSC values and scope of practice.
- Maintain reliable attendance, timely client communication, and professional management of schedule changes and cancellations.
- Clinical performance and caseload expectations will be reviewed periodically, including during an initial onboarding period and annually thereafter.
