Metering Manager
Location: Remote (Please note you will be required to travel for this role across Ireland and attend our head office in Kilkenny on occasion)
Duration: Permanent
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm
Overview of the role:
The successful candidate will be a meticulous, well-organised people manager, who is responsible for the organisation and implementation of a water metering team reading domestic and non-domestic meters across the Munster and South Leinster areas.
The role will involve effective communication and interaction with management, team members, clients, and suppliers so as to ensure that deliverables and company goals are achieved. In executing the role it is paramount that Health & Safety, Ethical and Quality requirements, both legislative and company specific, are fully respected and taken account of.
Day to Day of the Role:
Implementing the reading schedule for the metering team
Liaising with the client and contractors on meter read areas, schedules and read frequencies
Preparation of Monthly PMS reports detailing read performance, and significant activities or trends in analysis
Organisation of all planned and unplanned maintenance and repair activities of the read equipment, and all associated equipment including vans
Sourcing and dealing with equipment Vendors for fault finding/equipment repair
Preparation and implementation of Method Statements and Risk Assessments to ensure safe work practices by staff and sub-contractors;
Management of staff and sub-contractors
Budget responsibility for associated costs and staff costs
Full responsibility for reporting in a timely and accurate manner to Head Office and to the Client
Liaising with our Client and any regulatory bodies
Organising , planning and prioritising your own work, and that of resources delegated to you
Prepare weekly work schedules and conduct progress meetings and prepare progress reports
Effective management, guidance and training of delegated resources;
Effective time management and execution of work within defined timeline and budgetary constraints
Support and assist the General Manager and Regional Director
Collaborate with and support team members and colleagues on best practices and Business Development initiatives
Prepare and submit new metering tenders under the framework
Ensure Health & Safety, Ethical and Quality requirements, both legislative and company specific, are fully respected and taken account of
Required Skills for the Role:
Strong IT skills including MS Project and Excel;

Engineering degree
Management degree
Water metering experience
Management of people and resources
