Mid Design Architect Engineer

Who are we?

At Vertiv, we’re on a mission to empower the people that will power the future. From a simple swipe to life-changing medicines, from push notifications to generative AI. We design, manufacture, and service the products and solutions that keep the world connected. With $6.9 billion in sales, a strong customer base and global reach spanning nearly 70 countries, we are uniquely positioned to deliver greater value to our customers and create new opportunities for our people.

We are currently looking for a Mid Design Architect Engineer to join our dynamic team in Zagreb or Rijeka, Croatia!

Why should you join us?

Vertiv is one of the global market leaders in the design, construction, and maintenance of data centers. It is an international corporation with over 30,000 employees worldwide and an established presence in more than 130 countries.

Working at Vertiv means collaborating with international clients across the globe and partnering with diverse, multidisciplinary teams on every project.

To meet the demands of a fast-changing, high-tech environment and emerging technologies such as AI, Vertiv has developed a highly efficient BIM environment in which we design and manufacture modular solutions.

A key advantage of our Zagreb team is its close connection to our factory located in Rugvica. Unlike most traditional architectural projects, these modular solutions enable us to design and deliver data centers within just a few months through off-site production in our factory.

What can you expect?

  • Development of architectural designs for modular buildings using Revit
  • Participation in engineering coordination, collaborating with Vertiv’s multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Continuous learning opportunities through software training and cross-disciplinary education (LinkedIn Learning, in-house programs)
  • Standardization of architectural design solutions, including research on materials and details, fire protection requirements, and adherence to international, local, and company standards
  • Contribution to sustainability initiatives by monitoring regulations and industry trends, and optimizing architectural designs accordingly

What will your average day look like?

  • Development of conceptual and detailed designs as an Associate Architectural Design Engineer or Lead Architectural Design Engineer, depending on the project scale
  • Ensuring compliance with international, national, and company standards, as well as good engineering practices throughout the design process
  • Development of architectural BIM models and preparation of project documentation
  • Participation in kick-off meetings, regular project team meetings, and on-site coordination
  • Performing research and design tasks related to new product development and sustainability (e.g., LCA calculations)
  • Proactive collaboration with all project team members during project execution
  • Preparation of Bills of Materials and specification of services required for project execution
  • Providing technical support and approval of offers during the bidding phase
  • Close cooperation with Manufacturing and Site Deployment Engineering teams
