Mid- Level Civil & Structural Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking analytical, detail-oriented and experienced Civil and Structural Engineers to join our team in Rockville, MD/the DMV area. The location will be determined based on site/client office location per opportunity.
- Develop and review civil and/or structural engineering designs for infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and water systems
- Perform complex calculations and analysis to ensure structural integrity and project feasibility
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate engineering components into larger projects
- Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any engineering challenges
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on project-related issues
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards
- Utilize advanced engineering software to create accurate models and simulations
- Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- 4-10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on infrastructure design and construction
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant structural analysis software
- Strong knowledge of project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated experience with local building codes and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Proposed Salary: The salary range varies based on the scope of work, project location, and level of experience, and may fall between $80,000-$135,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
