Summary
The Mobile Maintenance Technician (Foreman) is responsible for coordinating, prioritizing, and supporting maintenance projects, repairs, preventative maintenance activities, and facility-related needs across assigned regional facilities. This role serves as a working foreman by assisting with project execution, coordinating work among maintenance technicians, monitoring project progress, and helping ensure maintenance priorities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
The Mobile Maintenance Technician serves as a field resource for maintenance staff, supports operational continuity across multiple facilities, and assists leadership in identifying facility needs, project priorities, and operational improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate, prioritize, and monitor maintenance projects, preventative maintenance activities, repairs, and facility-related work across assigned facilities.
- Assign, organize, and communicate maintenance tasks and project priorities to maintenance technicians in collaboration with maintenance leadership.
- Serve as a working foreman by assisting with maintenance, repair, renovation, and facility improvement projects as needed.
- Travel between assigned facilities to assess maintenance needs, support project execution, and assist with operational priorities.
- Monitor work completion, project timelines, and quality standards and provide updates to maintenance leadership.
- Assist with coordination of vendors, contractors, materials, equipment, and resources needed for maintenance projects.
- Support preventative maintenance programs and help ensure maintenance work orders are completed accurately and timely.
- Provide recommendations regarding facility repairs, capital needs, safety concerns, and operational improvements.
- Coordinate and/or oversee snow removal, landscaping, seasonal grounds maintenance, and other exterior facility needs.
- Respond to urgent facility issues and assist in coordinating timely resolution of maintenance emergencies.
- Support corporate risk management initiatives and facility-related mitigation efforts.
- Maintain awareness of and support compliance with applicable building codes, NFPA standards, CARF requirements, Life Safety regulations, OSHA standards, and other applicable requirements.
- Maintain maintenance records, project tracking information, work orders, and related documentation as assigned.
- Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information
- Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility but functions as a lead worker and field coordinator for maintenance technicians. The Mobile Maintenance Technician may assist with assigning work, coordinating daily priorities, monitoring project progress, providing guidance, and communicating operational needs to maintenance staff and leadership.
Required Qualifications
Licensure, Education, & Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in plumbing, electrical, building maintenance, heating systems, construction trades, and/or general facility maintenance required.
- Prior experience coordinating maintenance projects, work orders, contractors, or maintenance staff preferred.
- Prior experience with building codes, construction, life safety standards, or facilities operations preferred.
- Valid driver's license required if driving a company vehicle.
- Ability to travel regularly between assigned facilities required.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle tools or equipment, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to stoop, twist, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and perform physical maintenance-related tasks. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, or more with assistance as appropriate. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This position works in healthcare, residential, office, facility, and outdoor environments. The employee may be exposed to moderate noise levels, varying temperatures, inclement weather, mechanical and electrical systems, maintenance equipment, cleaning materials, and environmental hazards associated with facility maintenance activities. Frequent local travel between facilities is required. This position may require response to urgent facility issues and off-hours maintenance emergencies as operationally necessary.
