In the role of Mechanical Engineer, we'll count on you to\:

· Perform mechanical design and inspection (machinery and hydraulics) on movable bridges and other heavy movable structures

· Coordinate workload to complete on schedule and on budget

· Review of mechanical documents

· Perform inspections and write associated reports

· Write/edit mechanical specifications and select equipment, systems and devices

· Provide construction support as needed

· Conduct QA/QC on and coordinate with the work of other Mechanical Engineers, Mechanical Coordinators or Technicians

· Work will include a mixture of office and field work and may require travel

· Mentor younger mechanical staff

Preferred Qualifications

· 5 years’ experience in mechanical design on movable bridges and other heavy movable structures

· Previous experience with an engineering consulting firm

· Preference given to local candidates
