Job Description
The MSH PDE Process Integration (PI) Manager leads a team of Process Integration engineers responsible for the successful execution of High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) New Product Introduction (NPI) from early development through High Volume Manufacturing (HVM).
This role combines people leadership, technical oversight, and cross‑functional execution, ensuring PI readiness, yield ramp, and risk mitigation across wafer fabrication, assembly, and test. The manager is accountable for delivering NPI commitments while developing a strong, scalable PI organization.
Job Responsibilities
People Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of MSH PDE PI engineers across multiple experience levels
- Set clear expectations, goals, and priorities aligned to NPI and business objectives
- Provide regular feedback, performance evaluations, and career development guidance
- Build organizational capability through hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and succession planning
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence
HBM NPI Execution & Delivery
- Own PI execution for HBM NPI programs, ensuring delivery against milestones, phase gates, and ramp targets
- Balance resources across multiple programs to meet schedule, quality, and yield commitments
- Ensure effective NPI‑to‑HVM handoff, including process readiness and documentation
- Drive disciplined execution during fast‑paced NPI ramps and escalations
Technical Oversight & Risk Management
- Provide technical leadership and review for process integration strategies, characterization plans, and yield improvement actions
- Ensure timely identification, escalation, and resolution of high‑risk integration issues
- Guide teams in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Ensure alignment to PI standards, best practices, and governance expectations
Cross‑Functional & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as primary PI interface to MSH PDE YE, MRDA, Process Engineering, Assembly/Test, Manufacturing, etc
- Drive alignment on roles, responsibilities, and decision ownership across functions
- Communicate status, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to senior stakeholders
- Influence decisions through data‑driven insights and strong technical judgment
Integrating Artificial Intelligence
- Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgement and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements
- Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
- 8–12+ years of semiconductor engineering experience with strong PI/NPI background
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop talent, and manage performance
- Experience with resource planning, prioritization, and program execution
- Strong communication and decision‑making skills across engineering and leadership teams
- Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem-solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes
Preferred Skills
- Prior people‑management or senior technical leadership experience
- Experience supporting advanced packaging, HBM, or 3D‑stacked technologies
- Track record of driving yield stabilization during aggressive ramps
- Familiarity with data analytics, yield dashboards, or automation initiatives
