MuleSoft Developer
The Planet Group has partnered with a West Coast based company to locate a MuleSoft Developer for a contract position.
The successful candidate will be supporting a large-scale Workday implementation initiative and will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining integrations between Workday and external enterprise systems using MuleSoft as the middleware platform.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building API-based integrations, working with enterprise data transformations, and integrating Workday with third-party applications. This is a highly technical, development-focused role requiring strong MuleSoft expertise and experience working within complex enterprise environments.
This role is 100% remote but will require working PST hours. Due to the nature of the client, we can only work with candidates who do not now or will, in future, require sponsorship. No Third Party candidates will be accepted.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Workday and external vendor systems using MuleSoft
- Build and support API-led integration solutions to facilitate secure and reliable data exchange
- Configure and manage MuleSoft connectors, APIs, and integration flows
- Develop data mapping and transformation logic using enterprise integration best practices
- Create and maintain cross-reference tables and integration documentation
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across multiple systems and environments
- Collaborate with Workday functional and technical teams to support HR and Finance business processes
- Participate in integration testing, deployment, and production support activities
- Monitor integration performance and recommend improvements for scalability and reliability
- 3+ years of hands-on MuleSoft development experience
- Experience building and supporting enterprise integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
- Experience integrating with Workday
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and API-based integration architecture
- Experience with data mapping, transformation, and system-to-system integrations
- Knowledge of integration patterns, middleware concepts, and enterprise application integration
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting production integrations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience supporting Workday HR, HCM, Payroll, Benefits, or Finance integrations
- Experience with MuleSoft DataWeave
- Knowledge of Workday Web Services (WWS), Workday APIs, or Workday Studio
- Experience working in large enterprise implementation environments
- Exposure to cloud-based integration platforms and modern API management practices
- Primary focus on Workday HR integrations, with potential expansion into Finance integrations
