Job Description
General Teaching Scope
- Able to teach one to one and in a group environment in the Music School
- Able to manage young children in class size of 5 to 10 children from ages of 2 years to 15 years’ old
- Delivering engaging and interactive music lessons, including private one-on-one lessons and group classes
- Developing customised lesson plans and teaching materials to cater to the individual needs and learning styles of each student
- Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback to help them achieve their musical goals
- Collaborating with the wider team to organise and participate in musical performances, recitals, and other events
- Maintaining a safe and well-equipped learning environment for students
- Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the music education programme
- Complete evaluation reports for all students quarterly/half yearly and attend parent/teacher meetings as required
Competencies
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in music or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching music to students of all ages and skill levels
- Demonstrated ability to teach in one to one and class setting
- Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument, with the ability to teach a variety of instruments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students
- Strong organisational and time management skills to effectively manage a diverse student roster
- Passion for music education and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential
- Possess basic Microsoft Office skills
