Job Description

General Teaching Scope

• Able to teach one to one and in a group environment in the Music School
• Able to manage young children in class size of 5 to 10 children from ages of 2 years to 15 years’ old
• Delivering engaging and interactive music lessons, including private one-on-one lessons and group classes
• Developing customised lesson plans and teaching materials to cater to the individual needs and learning styles of each student
• Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback to help them achieve their musical goals
• Collaborating with the wider team to organise and participate in musical performances, recitals, and other events
• Maintaining a safe and well-equipped learning environment for students
• Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the music education programme
• Complete evaluation reports for all students quarterly/half yearly and attend parent/teacher meetings as required

Competencies

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in music or a related field
  
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching music to students of all ages and skill levels
  
• Demonstrated ability to teach in one to one and class setting
  
• Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument, with the ability to teach a variety of instruments
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students
  
• Strong organisational and time management skills to effectively manage a diverse student roster
  
• Passion for music education and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential
  
• Possess basic Microsoft Office skills
  
• Communication Skills
