NAG Finance Controller
Job Summary
Responsible for end-to-end financial analysis and reporting across Intangibles, Opex, Inventory, and Supply Chain. Key activities include impairment assessments, deal financial validation, milestone tracking, accurate Opex planning and variance analysis, inventory and COPE reporting, and senior leadership reporting. The role also supports strategic decision-making through budgeting, cost improvement tracking, P2P efficiency metrics, secretarial compliance activities, and ad‑hoc front office finance requirements, ensuring strong financial control and operational visibility across the business.
" Roles & Responsibilities
- Periodical Impairment Assessment of Intangible Assets (Launched assets and Goodwill).
- Financial validation of in-licensing/out licensing deals detailed agreement reviews, detailed milestone tracking and monitor new product launches for capitalization during month end close.
- Reviewing monthly Opex LE vs actuals, analyzing variances, and providing clear explanations to ensure accurate financial reporting and informed decision-making.
- Assisting in the preparation and analysis of the Monthly Opex Latest Estimate (LE) reporting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
- Annual Opex budgeting support by gathering data, analyzing trends, and ensuring accurate financial planning.
- Manage the monthly distribution of Ask.mi opex reports for Senior Leadership Team review.
- Manage Horizon 2 business requirements from Biologics and SC&W, focusing on in-depth analysis of spending and monthly reporting.
- Overseeing secretarial matters, including entity or plant closures/openings, investment decisions, and coordination of board/shareholders resolutions.
- Report TVC Savings by monitoring all the cost improvement projects (CIP) w.r.t BD/traded products.
- P2P efficiency metrics- on time payments, first pass yield etc. DPO reporting, reviewing, and highlighting exceptions.
- Working on Inventory Future COPE, MoH, Open PO reporting, shelf life, yield loss, expired stock and other initiatives.
- Facilitate monthly supply chain reviews focused on open purchase orders, inventory holding status, and future expiry risks.
- Preparation of optimum inventory, Cope and Future Cope reports for Marketing’s strategic review, ensuring structured monthly discussions.
- Monthly inventory review sessions for the RH location to close existing gaps and ensure regular monitoring.
- Support in Adhoc requirements from front office finance.
Educational Qualification
Professional certifications such as Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent are mandatory.
Minimum Work Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in Corporate or Commercial Finance, Finance Controlling, or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
- Exposure to impairment testing of intangible assets and goodwill, including judgment‑based assessments impacting financial statements.
- Hands‑on experience in in‑licensing/out‑licensing deal evaluations, agreement reviews, milestone tracking, and capitalization of new product launches.
- End‑to‑end Opex planning exposure including LE vs actual analysis, annual budgeting, senior leadership reporting, and variance explanations.
- Deep exposure to supply chain and inventory analytics—COPE, future COPE, MOH, open POs, shelf life, yield loss, expired stock, and inventory risk management.
- Cross‑functional and governance exposure through secretarial matters, cost improvement programs (CIP/TVC), P2P efficiency metrics, and senior management reviews.

- Attention to detail combined with sound judgment, particularly in impairment assessments, deal validations, delegations, and inventory risk evaluations.
- Proactive and solution‑oriented approach, with the ability to manage ambiguity and support ad‑hoc and strategic finance requirements.
