Quote from Hiring Manager

In the On-Premise channel, we don't just sell bottles; we build the environments where people celebrate life’s milestones. We are looking for a strategic partner who understands that our brands, like Jack Daniel’s and Woodford Reserve, are the heartbeat of the bar. If you have the commercial discipline of a top-tier consultant and the soul of a hospitality expert, you’ll find a home here. We don’t just want a manager; we want a 'rare character' ready to lead the future of our partnerships.

Meaningful Work From Day One

At Brown-Forman, your impact is immediate. You won’t just be following a script; you will be the lead architect of Joint Business Plans (JBP) for some of our most influential National accounts. From day one, you will:

  • Drive Strategic Growth: Own the long-term vision for your assigned accounts, creating "win-win" initiatives via Joint Business Planning and Quarterly Business Reviews that increase market share while driving customer profitability.

  • Champion Iconic Brands: Serve as the primary face of our portfolio, ensuring our brands are positioned as the first choice for consumers in the National On-Premise space.

  • Turn Insight into Action: Use data, market trends and category insights to build compelling commercial stories that move the needle for our partners.

This opportunity is a fixed term position, 1 year contract.

What You Can Expect

This is a high-visibility role that requires agility and a passion for the "on-ground" experience.

  • Commercial Ownership: You will manage the full P&L for your accounts, from trade spend and promotional investment to ROI evaluation and budget maintenance.

  • Collaboration in a Matrix: You’ll work closely with brand teams, finance, Marketing and regional on-premise managers to ensure national programs are executed flawlessly at the local level.

  • People Leadership: You will be responsible for the performance management, coaching, and career development of your direct report, ensuring they have the tools to succeed.

  • A Culture of Excellence: You’ll be part of a team that lives by the values of Integrity, Respect, and Trust, where your voice is heard and your professional growth is a priority.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of successful sales or key account management experience within the Alcohol/Beverage or FMCG industry.

  • Proven Leadership: Previous experience or a demonstrated high aptitude for people management, with a focus on coaching and driving team results.

  • Financial Acumen: Proven ability to create, control, and maintain financial analyses, including budget management and generating incremental profit streams.

  • Strategic Capability: Experience managing large National Accounts at the corporate level, including managing trading terms and tender processes.

What Makes You Unique

  • You possess an "ownership mindset," prioritising the needs of the overall Brown-Forman business and looking for ways to innovate rather than just maintain.

  • You have the ability to translate complex data into a clear, concise, and visually appealing narrative that engages customers and senior executives.

  • You thrive in a fast-paced, shifting landscape and can maintain a "team-first" attitude even when navigating difficult negotiations.

  • You genuinely love the On-Premise world and understand the nuances of what makes a beverage program successful for a retailer.
