National Counterintelligence Officer for Russia Europe and Eurasia

Lead proactive counterintelligence and security activities across the United States government, integrating the instruments of national power to detect, report, deter, disrupt, investigate, exploit, and defeat foreign intelligence threats.

Advise the Director of NCSC, the National Intelligence Manager for Russia, Europe, and Eurasia, other National Intelligence Managers, and policymakers on foreign intelligence threats for this portfolio. Lead national counterintelligence campaigns and initiatives for this portfolio, including: leading analysis, collection, and counterintelligence initiatives to identify and counter foreign intelligence threats; leading the IC in assessing progress against counterintelligence priorities and gaps; leading the development of solutions to address counterintelligence capability needs; and integrating counterintelligence into national decision making. Work with NCSC and ODNI counterparts to implement the National Counterintelligence Strategy; advance the mission objectives of the National Intelligence Strategy and Unifying Intelligence Strategies for the portfolio. Brief senior policymaker and IC officials and other major stakeholders-including the private sector and academia--on threats, priorities, and gaps for the portfolio. Lead stakeholders to develop the roadmap for the strategic solution to compartmented collaboration Forge, lead, and maintain effective partnerships with colleagues, experts, IC members, policy committees, and law enforcement agencies to share key information, coordinate joint efforts, and drive counterintelligence initiatives for the portfolio. Create and lead collaborative networks within the ODNI and across the IC and routinely engage IC counterparts to ensure effective integration. Develop and expand knowledge on the portfolio and establish a government-wide reputation as an effective integration leader. Lead and support briefings to senior IC officials and other major stakeholders on collaboration progress, issues and challenges. Other duties, as assigned.
