Naval Senior Technician - Freelance

We are seeking a local freelance Senior Technician with expertise in installation, test, maintenance and repair of communication systems to support a project in Alexandria. This role involves on-site management of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with technical and operational requirements.

Kay Responsabilities:

  • Customer site installation in operational environment.
  • Unitary equipment installation with installation manual.
  • Simple tasks requiring electronic and cabling skills: cabling, cable repair, material handling, stock management, and inventory..
  • Repair following specifications/instructions.
  • Running verification and non-regression tests.
  • Identify, qualify and write Fault/Problem Reports.
  • Investigate and solve/repair Fault/Problem Reports.
  • Write test procedures.
  • Write and update documents and reports.
  • Perform and update equipment cabling.
  • Perform network equipment update (switch) with manual.
  • Perform IT equipment update (server) w/o manual.
  • Use a PC with Virtual Machine ; troubleshooting on Linux/Windows OS in case of issues.
  • Wiring and configuration of equipment (e.g. radios, modem).
  • Define and realise a cable.
  • Able to manage technicians as part of the project.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience in naval installation, test, maintenance and repair of communication systems.
  • Desirable experience in military environments.
  • English: B2.
  • IT tools advanced experience.
  • Customer orientation, results-oriented and fluid communication.
