Ignite Digital has an exciting opportunity for a PM Analyst to support a federal government client in the Charleston, SC area. The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented professional with experience supporting NAVSEA, the U.S. Navy, or other Department of Defense organizations. This position will provide day-to-day project management support to government leadership by assisting with project planning, execution, schedule management, reporting, and stakeholder coordination to ensure mission priorities are successfully executed.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting technical projects involving information technology, cloud computing, network systems, systems engineering, or digital modernization initiatives. Working closely with government project managers, technical teams, and contractors, this individual will help coordinate project activities, track deliverables, manage project documentation, and ensure timely communication across project stakeholders.
Scope of Responsibilities
• Support government clients with the planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring of multiple projects and initiatives.
• Assist in developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), project timelines, milestones, action item trackers, and project documentation.
• Monitor project status, identify schedule impacts, risks, issues, and dependencies, and communicate findings to project leadership.
• Coordinate meetings, Integrated Product Team (IPT) sessions, technical exchanges, and project reviews while documenting meeting minutes and tracking action items through completion.
• Prepare project status reports, executive summaries, briefing materials, dashboards, and performance metrics for government leadership.
• Coordinate activities among government personnel, contractors, engineers, and cross-functional teams to support successful project execution.
• Support technical projects involving cloud technologies, edge computing, network infrastructure, systems integration, and digital modernization efforts.
• Assist with requirements management, change management, project documentation, and deliverable tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain project repositories, documentation, schedules, and records to ensure compliance with contractual and organizational requirements.
• Support risk management activities by tracking project risks, developing mitigation actions, and monitoring issue resolution.
• Assist with resource planning, project planning, and workload tracking across multiple initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve project execution, communication, reporting, and organizational efficiency through standardized project management processes.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed accurately, on schedule, and in accordance with government quality expectations.
Desired Experience / Qualifications
• Experience supporting NAVSEA, the U.S. Navy, or other Department of Defense organizations.
• Experience providing project management support for technical or operational government programs.
• Familiarity with project scheduling, milestone tracking, risk management, and project reporting.
• Experience supporting technical initiatives involving cloud computing, networking, systems engineering, cybersecurity, or digital modernization is preferred.
• Ability to coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders while managing competing priorities.
• Experience preparing executive briefings, project reports, meeting minutes, and status updates.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while supporting senior project managers and government leadership.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of Department of Defense or federal government experience supporting project management, program management, or technical programs.
• Experience supporting project schedules, action tracking, risk management, and project reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
• Experience coordinating meetings, documenting action items, and preparing executive-level deliverables.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Desired Qualifications
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or Agile certification.
• Experience supporting NAVSEA, NAVWAR, NIWC Atlantic, or other Navy acquisition organizations.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management methodologies.
• Experience supporting cloud migration, systems modernization, networking, or enterprise IT initiatives.
• Experience using Microsoft Project, Jira, SharePoint, Power BI, or similar project management and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of Department of Defense acquisition processes and project lifecycle management.
• Experience supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and cross-functional technical organizations.
• Experience applying continuous process improvement principles to enhance project execution and customer support.
Work Location
Location is flexible depending on program or customer requirements. Travel to Navy fleet concentration areas, program offices, and shipyards may be required.
Salary: 95k+ dependent on education and experience
