What we seek:<\/b>
<\/p>
LMATS is seeking NDT Technician for Kalgoorlie office.
<\/p>
Reporting to state manager, NDT Technician will be\nresponsible for designing and preparing range of onsite and laboratory\-based\ntesting services to determine the test arrangements and test loads in\naccordance with the NATA\u2019s requirements.
<\/p>
<\/p>
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:<\/b>
<\/p>
· Determine test arrangements and test loads in accordance\nwith client\u2019s requirements.
<\/p>
· Select test methods to be used, organize required\nequipment for the relevant tests
<\/p>
· Perform mechanical and metallurgical testing in accordance\nwith LMATS procedures and NATA requirements.
<\/p>
· Responsible for all the equipment in the laboratory, their\nmaintenance, and calibration
<\/p>
· Undertake site inspections and liaise with clients to\nunderstand their test requirements.
<\/p>
· Review test failure data, conduct various tests to\nestablish possible causes and recommend suitable solution.
<\/p>
· Preparation of technical reports documenting the outcome\nof the tests.
<\/p>
To be successful in this role, you\u2019ll need the following\nskills and knowledge:
<\/p>
· Material properties, electronic principles, mathematics\nand technical project management
<\/p>
· Advanced NDT, condition monitoring, structural health\nmonitoring and quality management
<\/p>
· Commercial awareness and the economics of their industry\nsector, business improvement and project and business management techniques\nrelevant to the engineering industry
<\/p>
· Regulatory and international standards requirements,\ntechnology, safety and the environment
<\/p>
· The interaction between NDT and other engineering\nfunctions, the consequences of failure and the contribution of NDT to asset\nmanagement and life extension
<\/p>
· Applying design processes, including materials selection,\nthat meet NDT standards
<\/p>
· Root cause analysis and learning from experience (LFE)\nprocesses
<\/p>
· The advantages of collaboration with other industry\nsectors in order to apply best practice.

Essential Attributes & Qualifications required for a\nrole<\/b>
<\/p>
· Relevant AINDT certificates or ability to obtain\n(UT/MT/RT/PT Level 2 ISO 9712)
<\/p>
· At least 2 years of relevant work experience as an NDT\nTechnician
<\/p>
· Computer literate \- Technical report writing
<\/p>
· Excellent English communication
<\/p>
· Willing to travel locally and regionally to complete jobs\nat client sites
<\/p>
· driving license \- Manual C \- Class
<\/p>
