Network Engineer
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education & Certifications
· Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
· Relevant certifications, such as:
o Cisco CCNA / CCNP
o Fortinet NSE 4 or equivalent
o AWS Solutions Architect – Associate
Technical Experience
· 4–5 years of hands-on experience in network implementation, operations, and support within
enterprise environments.
· Strong experience with enterprise networking technologies, including:
o Switching, routing, firewalls, and VPNs (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, AWS, Azure)
o IP networking fundamentals, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), QoS, and Ethernet
· Experience using network monitoring and management tools (e.g. PRTG, SolarWinds).
· Good understanding of structured cabling, Wi-Fi technologies, NAC, and network security controls.
· Proven troubleshooting capability in complex, multi-site or hybrid cloud network environments.

Key Responsibilities
1. Network Implementation & Operations
· Implement, configure, operate, and maintain network infrastructure (physical and virtual), including
LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, cloud networking, and structured cabling.
· Participate in the network design phase by reviewing designs, validating assumptions, highlighting
operational risks, and ensuring designs are implementable and supportable.
· Configure, troubleshoot, and support network equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls, and
wireless access points.
· Perform technical site surveys, Wi-Fi passive site surveys, and site preparation activities as input to
design and implementation.
· Monitor network performance, capacity, and availability; proactively identify and resolve incidents
to ensure stable operations.
· Support scheduled maintenance, including after-hours maintenance windows when required.
· Attend remote sites for fault isolation, troubleshooting, and service provisioning activities
· Liaise with vendors & internal stakeholder on Network Cabling works (eg Laying of New LAN
cables during O0ice Renovation.)
2. Network Monitoring, Optimization & Resilience
· Operate and maintain network monitoring platforms such as PRTG and SolarWinds.
· Analyze performance metrics, bandwidth utilization, and fault data to support continuous
optimization and service improvement.
· Implement and support disaster recovery and backup solutions for network infrastructure in line
with approved architecture.
· Manage cabling assets and maintain accurate and up-to-date physical and logical network
diagrams.
3. Cloud Networking & Connectivity
· Implement and support cloud networking components and connectivity in AWS or other Cloud
Connectivity environments based on approved designs.
· Ensure secure and reliable connectivity between on-premises environments, cloud platforms, and
external service providers.
· Provide implementation and operational feedback to improve cloud network designs for
performance, scalability, and cost e0iciency.
4. Security, Risk & Compliance
· Implement and operate network security controls including firewall policies, VPNs, NAC, and Wi-Fi
security configurations.
· Ensure network implementations comply with internal standards, security policies, and industry
best practices.
· Support audits by providing evidence, addressing findings, and implementing corrective actions.
· Perform vulnerability assessment, remediation, and security hardening activities across
enterprise network and security infrastructure environments
5. Documentation & Change Management
· Develop, maintain, and update network documentation, including:
o As-built network documentation and diagrams
o Implementation and configuration guides
o Operational runbooks and support procedures
o Preventive maintenance documentation
· Ensure all network changes follow established change management and approval processes.
· Documenting network configurations and maintaining up-to-date records
· Maintaining IT Asset Inventory
6. Project & Stakeholder Collaboration
· Work closely with Project Managers and solution teams to deliver network components of projects
according to agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards.
· Participate in project design discussions to provide implementation, operational, and
maintainability input.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex network issues and support service
delivery.
· Provide technical support and guidance to internal users and stakeholders on network-related
matters.
· Flexible to travel within Singapore and work in construction-site environments during the
implementation and initial setup of network infrastructure
7. Vendor & Service Provider Management
· Coordinate with vendors and service providers during implementation, troubleshooting, and
service delivery activities.
· Support vendor performance monitoring and resolution of network service issues.
· Assist in technical evaluation and validation of vendor solutions against approved designs and
standards.
8. Datacenter management
· Manage Data Centre physical security, access control, and operational activities.
· Provide 24x7 standby support and travel as required to support Data Centre operations,
maintenance, and project activities.
· Provide 1st Level investigation into hardware or connectivity issues.
· Manage and organize physical cabling within the data center, including fiber optics, network cables,
and power cables
