We are currently seeking a Network Infrastructure Project Coordinator to join our team in Pune, Mahārāshtra (IN-MH), India (IN).

Overview

Coordinates the execution of telecommunications and IT infrastructure initiatives within UPS Global Network Services. This role combines project coordination, general telecom knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver network deployment, upgrade, and lifecycle activities aligned with business objectives.

Responsible for managing assigned projects within a defined scope, ensuring delivery meets schedule, budget, quality, and compliance standards while aligning to ITIL practices and established project methodologies.

Core Function

• Owns and coordinates assigned telecommunications and IT deployment projects from initiation through implementation and closure

• Coordinates alignment across design, provisioning, deployment, and operations teams

• Coordinates with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to drive project execution

• Coordinates adherence to standard processes, field practices, and governance requirements

• Translates business and technical requirements into structured project plans and deliverables

Scope

• Deployment, upgrade, and maintenance of network hardware and software across UPS facilities and data centers

• Coordination of MAN, WAN, and Colocation connectivity solutions

• Lifecycle initiatives including hardware refresh, migrations, patching, and capacity upgrades

• Multi-site IT deployment coordination across business units

• Coordination of both standard and non-standard project requests

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage multiple concurrent projects within defined scope, schedule, and budget targets

• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and dependencies using Microsoft Project or similar tools

• Coordinate all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation through closure

• Apply structured project management practices (Waterfall and Agile where appropriate)

• Coordinate cross-functional activities across engineering, operations, field support, procurement, and vendors

• Identify and track risks and issues, coordinating mitigation and escalation as needed within ITIL frameworks

• Coordinate deployment activities including site readiness, scheduling, provisioning, and implementation support

• Coordinate validation of project completion and post-implementation review activities

• Coordinate IT hardware procurement aligned to project requirements and timelines

• Track project financials, including budget monitoring, cost tracking, and variance awareness

• Assist with preparation and coordination of Appropriation Creation & Control (ACC) requests

• Provide regular project updates, including status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders

• Coordinate process improvement initiatives to enhance delivery consistency and efficiency

• Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure alignment with enterprise standards

• Coordinate adherence to security and compliance requirements, ensuring project activities align with enterprise policies and audit standards

• Coordinate vulnerability tracking and remediation activities, including visibility into identified risks and associated mitigation efforts

• Support reporting on security posture and vulnerabilities to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with governance expectations

Technical Scope

• General understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, routing concepts, connectivity)

• Familiarity with MAN, WAN and Colo connectivity solutions

• Awareness of network infrastructure components (routers, switches, circuits, load balancers, wireless APs and related services)

• Understanding of basic network performance concepts

• Familiarity with telecom processes such as circuit provisioning and vendor coordination

Work Hours

• Standard work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

• Occasional after-hours or weekend work required to support deployments, cutovers, and critical milestones

• Governance & Compliance Tools: OneTrust (for risk, compliance tracking, and reporting)
