Neurosurgery- Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant- Atlanta
Overview
Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for an advanced practice provider to join a well established Neurosurgical practice at Piedmont Atlanta.
Responsibilities
· Assist with hospital rounds, and surgical support.
· Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in patient’s medical record in ambulatory practice. Clinical responsibilities require thorough attention to detail.
· Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care.
· Write progress notes; prepare patient work-ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
· Develop plans of care that minimize complications and successfully troubleshoot problems when they arise.
· Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.
· Complete pre-op appointments for all surgical patients, work with supervising physician to ensure all required labs, clearances and testing is satisfactorily complete well before surgery.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
3-5 years of Neurosurgical experience with a high degree of clinical judgment
Minimum Qualifications
Masters, Bachelors Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification
