We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join a high-performing infrastructure team responsible for the engineering, automation, and lifecycle management of enterprise Linux platforms. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in large-scale environments and enjoys driving platform stability, security, and operational excellence across on-premises and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineer, build, and maintain enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) platforms
• Manage OS certification, baseline configurations, system hardening, and lifecycle management
• Test, validate, and deploy security patches to maintain compliance and reduce vulnerabilities
• Ensure platform currency, performance, and operational stability across distributed environments
• Support large-scale server infrastructure across on-premises and cloud platforms
• Plan and execute VMware platform upgrades, including ESXi, vCenter, Aria Suite, and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
• Develop and maintain automation solutions using Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, or similar technologies
• Participate in infrastructure maintenance activities, including scheduled weekend patching and upgrades
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks
• Support incident, problem, and change management processes within an enterprise environment

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7, 8, 9, and 10)
• Expertise in Linux server provisioning, administration, and OS lifecycle management
• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform
• Strong knowledge of VMware technologies including vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, Aria Suite, and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
• Experience with Red Hat Pacemaker Clustering and High Availability solutions
• Solid understanding of networking, storage, virtualization, and security principles
• Familiarity with ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within banking, financial services, or other highly regulated environments
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
• Experience supporting globally distributed enterprise infrastructure
• Knowledge of vulnerability management, compliance standards, and security frameworks
• Experience with large-scale enterprise platform operations
