Night Crew Supervisor

Position Summary

The Night Crew Supervisor is responsible for leading overnight store operations, ensuring shelves are stocked, aisles are merchandised to company standards, and the store is clean, safe, and customer-ready for the following business day. This role supervises night crew associates, drives productivity, and maintains accountability for execution, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Direct and supervise night crew associates to complete all stocking and conditioning tasks
  • Assign work based on priorities, truck size, and labor availability
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance accountability to team members
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and productive work environment

Stocking & Merchandising Execution

  • Oversee unloading and breakdown of deliveries
  • Ensure product is stocked efficiently, accurately, and in proper location
  • Maintain shelf conditions including facing, rotation, and date checks
  • Verify displays, endcaps, and promotional items are set correctly

Operational Efficiency

  • Monitor productivity and adjust workflow to meet timelines
  • Ensure timely completion of load and store conditioning
  • Minimize shrink through proper handling and stocking practices
  • Communicate execution status and issues to store leadership

Store Readiness

  • Ensure store is fully conditioned and customer-ready by opening
  • Maintain cleanliness standards across sales floor and backroom
  • Identify and resolve out-of-stock or merchandising gaps

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce all safety procedures, including proper lifting and equipment use
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and labor guidelines
  • Report accidents, hazards, and maintenance issues promptly
Qualifications
  • Previous retail or grocery experience preferred
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and move product (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods
