Night Shift Grind Room Team Lead

Bongards’ Creameries is seeking a Grind Room Team Lead based out of our Humboldt facility. The Grind Room Team Lead is responsible for managing and directing personnel associated with staging and unwrapping cheese to their respective lines of equipment and associated processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist production supervisor(s) with managing production lines and personnel
  • Provide assistance to machine operators as necessary (staging cheese, changeovers, breaks, etc)
  • Coordinate personnel assignments as needed
  • Safe operation of high-pressure hoses
  • Become trained and knowledgeable on all GMP and HACCP guidelines
  • Become trained and certified on Powered Industrial Trucks
  • Learn ROSS systems
  • Respond to confidential issues
  • Train, Coach and Mentor team members
  • Work with paperwork for export shipments and audits
  • Work in a safe and proficient manner
  • Report all food safety and quality problems to immediate supervisor or designated backup
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent Math and Reading skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Must adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, other Quality guidelines
  • Must maintain highest quality standards for plant and equipment cleanliness
  • Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or designated replacement
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs

Schedule:

  • Night Shift 5:00pm to 5:00am Monday – Friday, occasional Saturday, Sunday
