At Reserve Health, we do correctional medicine differently. We provide high-quality, compassionate care to an underserved population while ensuring our clinical teams are fully supported, safe, and valued.

If you are an ER, ICU, Med-Surg, or Urgent Care RN looking to step into leadership without losing your connection to bedside care, this is your opportunity. Correctional nursing offers an incredibly unique, autonomous practice where no two shifts are the same, backed by a predictable schedule and a highly secure environment.

As the Night Shift Nurse Manager, you will lead a dedicated night team while remaining hands-on in patient care. You aren't just stuck behind a desk filling out spreadsheets—you are the clinical anchor for the shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead & Mentor: Act as the go-to clinical resource, supporting and guiding your night shift nursing team to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
  • Provide Autonomy-Driven Care: Conduct health assessments, triage, manage medications, and respond to urgent medical needs.
  • Collaborate Safely: Work hand-in-hand with a supportive correctional officer team.
  • Coordinate Care: Serve as the primary clinical point-of-contact for the facility overnight, ensuring seamless communication regarding inmate healthcare.

  • Competitive Pay.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus 401(k) matching.
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays.
  • Predictable Scheduling: No chaotic, last-minute shift changes. Know your schedule weeks in advance.
  • A Secure Working Environment: 24/7 security presence ensures you can focus purely on patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or compact state).
  • Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience. Experience in corrections, Emergency Departments, urgent care, or high-acuity settings is a major plus, but we will train the right leader!
  • Education: ADN required; BSN preferred.
  • Mindset: A calm under pressure, empathetic communicator who commands respect and can guide a team through emergency situations.
