Essential Functions
Assist, plan and implement policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Maintain regulatory record keeping including OSHA 300 Log, safety training records, KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and team action plans. Work with all levels of staff to ensure the health and safety program and policies are understood and upheld as a priority and value. Train all employees, supervisors and management in proper use of PPE; also safety & health, accident prevention and investigation training. Assist line management by spending appropriate time on production floor to observe workforce for safe behaviors and immediately correct any deficiencies. Timely report all work-related injuries or illnesses to Company’s worker’s compensation insurance administrator and provide follow-up information as necessary. Work closely with local medical provider(s) to coordinate emergency services and follow-up care for injured or ill employees. Conducts employee certifications and renewals.
