Your Role:
We are a growing manufacturing organization transitioning from legacy data management to an enterprise-grade Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environment. As the Lead NPI & PLM Implementation Engineer, you will own the end-to-end selection, deployment, and adoption of our PLM system. You will evaluate our current "as-is" New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, design the future state, and lead the cultural and technical change management required to move our teams into a unified digital thread. After deployment of the PLM tool, this position will ensure that all products are optimized for manufacturability, assembly, and long-term supply chain health. In addition, managing PLM activities to ensure proper product configuration is done per standards, ensuring configuration database integrity, configuration sharing and implementation at production partners and suppliers.
Your future tasks at a glance:
PLM & Change Management
PLM tool - key user: Write feature requirements, define processes and maintain the PLM tool aligned with the team needs.
Product Creation: BOMs, hierarchies, and associated configuration files within the PLM system.
Configuration Control: Manage product configuration changes (component/product/process, temporary/permanent), up to implementation.
Component Definition: Definition of components, 2nd sources and custom parts in PLM in collaboration with HW development.
New product introduction (NPI)
Technical Supplier Management: Oversee the manufacturing process at our production partners and tracks maturity from prototype through to high-volume production products.
Industrialization plan and timeline: Responsible for the Project/Product Industrialization timeline and ensures closure of action plans.
Design for Manufacturing: Collaborate with the HW team on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) efforts with the target to reduce costs and ensure quality during manufacturing of the product.
Series Handover: Ensure product maturity is sufficient for a successful transition to series production.
What you bring with you:
5 years minimum experience in PLM/Configuration Management involving multi-disciplinary products and processes.
Experience with Windchill PLM and PDM software systems.
Experience with manufacturing and DFM of electro-mechanical products is an advantage.
Familiarity with production technology, processes, and testing.
Supplier Management experience.
Ability to drive and influence company-wise processes and methodologies.
Ability to communicate technical details effectively in cross-functional teams.
Degree in electrical/automotive engineering or a related IT technical field.
