Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Nuclear Med Tech, you will be a specialized healthcare professional, vital in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services through the precise application of radionuclides.Every day, you will expertly perform Nuclear Medicine procedures, utilizing radionuclides to produce high-quality images and data for licensed practitioners. You'll ensure appropriate patient care, recognize conditions essential for successful procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate equipment, and adhere to strict radiation safety.To be successful in this role demands current certification, advanced technical expertise, and an exceptional eye for detail, coupled with a thorough understanding of radiation safety. Your compassionate patient care and dedication to precise imaging will be essential.
- Performs exams based on patient anatomy and body habitus
- Assists Radiologists and Cardiologists in the performance of Nuclear Medicine Procedures
- Completes hospital forms per protocol
- Assists with cardiac exams to include the accurate performance of EKG's on the stress treadmill
- Assists Imaging Support in locating films, printing reports, and assisting physicians
- Performs Nuclear Medicine exams utilizing hospital equipment i.e. GE Hawkeye, Dual head gamma camera, GE Optima dual head dedicated cardiac gamma camera, GE single head gamma camera and Philips Skylight dual head gamma camera
Job Requirements
Required
- Completion Nuclear Medicine TechnologyCertification Board approvedNuclear Medicine Technologist program. and Minimum six months continuousexperience in a clinical imaging setting
- Nuclear Medical Technologist: AZ
- Basic Life Support - CPR
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or
- Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology
