Nurse (Clinical/Med-Surg)

About the Position: This position is located at Evans Army Community Hospital, Directorate of Nursing, Mixed Medical Surgical Unit with Pediatrics at Fort Carson, CO 80906. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Manage the care of patients with complex and multifaceted medical and surgical needs.

Ensure documentation is thorough, accurate, and meets regulatory and organizational standards.

Administer oxygen, IV fluid, blood transfusion and prescribed oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications, as prescribed.

Recognize significant and life-threatening changes in patient condition, including changes in cardiac rhythm evidenced by telemetry, and determine and implement the proper emergency life saving measures in accordance with the level of certification.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for high-risk patients.
