Nurse Clinician

Nurse Clinician – The Metabolic Clinic

The Metabolic Clinic is a specialist endocrinology practice in Novena, dedicated to the management of diabetes, obesity, and a broad range of metabolic and hormonal conditions. We are looking for a motivated and clinically curious nurse to join our close-knit team and grow into a rewarding specialist nursing role.

About the Role

This is a dynamic position that blends hands-on clinical care with meaningful patient engagement. You will work closely with our specialist doctor to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care — from coordinating pre-consultation communications, to supporting assessment and management of complex metabolic and endocrine conditions.

You will play a central role in patient education, motivation, and communication, helping individuals navigate chronic conditions that require sustained lifestyle change. Over time, you will develop genuine expertise in endocrinology and metabolic medicine, becoming a true clinical resource for the team.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist the doctor in running specialist clinic sessions, including pre-arrival patient coordination
  • Act as a liaison between patients and the doctor, ensuring medical communications are clear, accurate, and timely
  • Provide patient education and motivational support, particularly around diabetes management, nutrition, and lifestyle modification
  • Perform clinical procedures including venepuncture and IV cannulation
  • Uphold and enforce clinical standards of care and professional conduct in line with SNB requirements
  • Evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care for patients with complex needs, and contribute to improvements in care delivery
  • Provide nursing expertise and evidence-based practice guidance within the team
  • Support clinical learning and development within the nursing team through coaching and mentorship
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation
  • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth and efficient daily clinic operations
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Doctor or Head of Clinical Operations

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is self-directed, personable, and genuinely invested in patient outcomes. You will be comfortable working independently while remaining a collaborative and positive presence within the team.

A personal interest in exercise, nutrition, and healthy living is a real advantage —these are not just talking points at our clinic, they are central to how we care for our patients. We value curiosity and a willingness to keep learning; endocrinology rewards nurses who enjoy understanding the why behind conditions and treatments.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Nursing or Degree qualification
  • General Registration with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
  • Proficient in IV cannulation and venepuncture
  • Experience with diabetes or metabolic conditions is a distinct advantage
  • Demonstrated team player
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team ethic

What You Can Expect

A stimulating, varied clinical environment where no two patients are quite the same. You will build long-term relationships with patients, work closely alongside a specialist, and develop as kill set that extends well beyond a generalist nursing role — with full support for your ongoing professional development.
