Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. - Triage walk-ins to determine if a patient is in labor, water is broken, false alarm, etc
- Support pregnant patients in labor including induction, epidural assistance (if needed), general pain management and fetal monitoring
- Assist and circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections, tubal ligation, cerclage and emergency procedures
- Educate patients on various interventions or procedures - medications (name and purpose), exams, and labor stages
- Assess newborn and provide care.
- Communicate with the care management team, including anesthesiologist, physician or midwife, lactation nurse, charge nurse, postpartum unit, patient and family
Job Requirements
Required
- One (1) year of the last Two (2) years, recent experience as an RN in Labor and Delivery, or as an RN in an acute care setting and successful completion of applicable clinical and didactic SRDH specialty training program
- Technical School Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Registered Nurse: NV
- American Heart Association
- Basic Life Support - CPR
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Preferred
- 3 years of the last 5 years recent experience as an RN in Labor and Delivery or equivalent in a setting with 100 births/month.
