Join Our Orthopedic Trauma Team!
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Orthopedic Trauma Nurse Practitioner to join a collaborative, dedicated team providing high-quality care to patients with acute orthopedic injuries.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with surgeons in both inpatient and outpatient settings while playing a critical role in patient care, coordination, and recovery.
Role Overview
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with orthopedic trauma conditions
Assist orthopedic surgeons in both the OR and clinical settings (as applicable)
Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including rounding and follow-ups
Order and interpret diagnostic tests (imaging, labs)
Perform procedures within scope (e.g., splinting, casting, wound care)
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to ensure continuity of care
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and prevention
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner)
Board certification (NP-C, FNP-C, AGACNP, etc.)
Active or eligible state licensure
BLS required (ACLS may be required depending on setting)
Who You Are
We’re especially interested in candidates with experience in orthopedics, trauma, or surgical care.
Experience in orthopedic surgery, trauma, or inpatient surgical care preferred
3+ years experience in supervision and independent decision making in major nursing areas preferred
Comfortable managing pre- and post-operative patients
Strong clinical judgment and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Detail-oriented with strong documentation and care coordination skills
