Join Our Orthopedic Trauma Team!

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Orthopedic Trauma Nurse Practitioner to join a collaborative, dedicated team providing high-quality care to patients with acute orthopedic injuries.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with surgeons in both inpatient and outpatient settings while playing a critical role in patient care, coordination, and recovery.

Role Overview

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with orthopedic trauma conditions

  • Assist orthopedic surgeons in both the OR and clinical settings (as applicable)

  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including rounding and follow-ups

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (imaging, labs)

  • Perform procedures within scope (e.g., splinting, casting, wound care)

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to ensure continuity of care

  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and prevention

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner)

  • Board certification (NP-C, FNP-C, AGACNP, etc.)

  • Active or eligible state licensure

  • BLS required (ACLS may be required depending on setting)

Who You Are

We’re especially interested in candidates with experience in orthopedics, trauma, or surgical care.

  • Experience in orthopedic surgery, trauma, or inpatient surgical care preferred

  • 3+ years experience in supervision and independent decision making in major nursing areas preferred

  • Comfortable managing pre- and post-operative patients

  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams

  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and care coordination skills
