Red Balloon Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a 0.6 FTE position. Position Overview:
As a Nurse Practitioner at Red Balloon Urgent Care, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical care to pediatric patients during evening hours. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment where your expertise and skills will contribute to improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients presenting with urgent care needs.
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and conditions in accordance with evidence-based practices and protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and coordinating follow-up care as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Provide patient education and counseling to promote health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Minnesota.
- Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner- Primary Care (CPNP-PC) or Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner- Acute Care (CPNP-AC).
- Proficiency in conducting thorough physical examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests, and formulating differential diagnoses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and families.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
