About the Role:

As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be pivotal in overseeing the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of our Rehabilitation Unit. You will lead by example, championing patient-centred care and ensuring the delivery of outstanding clinical outcomes. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing strong clinical leadership and management for all nursing and support staff within the rehabilitation unit.
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation programs that promote optimal patient independence and recovery.
  • Recruiting, developing, and rostering staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Managing unit resources, including budget oversight, to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards, clinical governance frameworks, and Ramsay Health Care policies.
  • Collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and medical specialists.
  • Implementing and monitoring quality improvement initiatives to continuously enhance patient care and safety.
  • Acting as a role model for professional practice and clinical excellence.

About You:

We are looking for a Registered Nurse who possesses:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Extensive clinical experience in rehabilitation nursing, with demonstrated leadership or management experience.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in nursing management, rehabilitation, or a related field (highly desirable).
  • A comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation principles, care pathways, and funding models.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor a nursing team.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities, with a focus on achieving unit objectives.
