Nursing Assistant - Bayview Hospital

Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to support nursing and medical staff in delivering high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will assist with clinical procedures, patient monitoring, and daily living activities while maintaining confidentiality and promoting a safe, caring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians and registered nurses with exams and procedures
• Record vital signs and patient information accurately
• Provide physical and emotional support to patients and families
• Maintain cleanliness, supplies, and equipment in exam and patient rooms
• Support patient mobility, hygiene, feeding, and comfort needs
• Uphold infection control and quality care standards
• Foster teamwork and effective communication within the healthcare team

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Enrolled Nursing from an accredited institution
• Minimum of three (3) CXC passes, including English Language and Mathematics

Skills & Attributes:

• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Basic Life Support/ Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support skills
• Excellent and empathetic bedside manner
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills
• Must be computer proficient
