Bryant & Stratton College is seeking a part-time Clinical Instructor to supervise nursing students in clinical settings across multiple specialties.
Role Overview
The Clinical Instructor provides direct supervision of nursing students during clinical rotations, supports their learning, and collaborates with faculty to ensure curriculum quality and student success. The position is part-time and will require travel to various clinical sites.
Essential Job Functions
- Clinical Supervision: Supervise students in one or more nursing areas such as Fundamentals, OB, Maternal/Child, Pharmacology, Medical/Surgical, Pediatrics, Mental Health/Lifespan Development, Community Health, and Leadership Development.
- Skills Assistance & Tutoring: Provide regular hands-on skills training and academic support to students.
- Curriculum Collaboration: Work with nursing faculty to develop, evaluate, and improve course content, learning support, and assessments.
- Student Retention & Success: Implement and evaluate strategies to improve student retention and academic performance.
- Professional Development: Maintain current knowledge and skills, complete a teaching portfolio, and hold relevant professional certifications.
- Commitment to Diversity: Make meaningful connections with a diverse student body in a career college environment.
- Event & Committee Participation: Serve on campus committees and attend campus events.
Qualifications
- Education: Master Degree in Nursing and unencumbered Nursing License required.
- Licensure: Current New York State RN license required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in the nursing field.
- Teaching Background: Successful instruction in a higher education setting preferred.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of computer software (email, Microsoft Word, etc.).
- Soft Skills: Strong team player demonstrated commitment to professional development and student success.
Work Environment
- Schedule: Part-time, day, evening, and/or weekend clinical hours at college designated location.

Contact Hour Range: $55 to $65 per contact hour.

At Bryant & Stratton College, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Information about the total compensation package for this position will be provided during the interview process.
