Responsibilities:
Radiologic Technologist duties will consist of, but are not limited to:
- Performs quality imaging services in an efficient and effective manner.
- Operates C-arm for all cases requiring fluoroscopy.
- Demonstrates use of proper positioning to produce quality imaging.
- Demonstrates knowledge of all equipment to provide a safe environment for patients, physicians, and staff.
- Regularly inspects x-ray/radiologic equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
- Performs startup procedures, calibration of equipment and troubleshooting.
- Ensures radiation-monitoring devices are used at all times.
- Monitors results and efficacy of monitoring devices.
- Reviews/updates all written policies and procedures relating to radiation.
- Utilizes proper radiation safety practices while working with radiation-producing equipment to ensure optimal results.
- Works with all members of the team to provide optimal care to the patient throughout his/her surgical experience.
- Adheres to all surgery center policies, procedures, safety requirements and performance improvement goals.
- Completes all documentation to ensure the availability of accurate and up to date information in accordance with established standards.
