Occupational Health Nurse

Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in nursing.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

II. ability to conduct and provide health profiles/screenings, health evaluations, health promotion education and drug screenings following written/demonstrated protocols; ability to effectively document interaction and outcomes of employees seen; ability to communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster an effective occupational health, wellness and safety program.

1. Competent with Venipuncture or finger sticks

2. Ability to conduct and provide health profiles/screenings, health evaluations, health promotion education and drug screenings following written/demonstrated protocols; ability to effectively document interaction and outcomes of employees seen; ability to communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster an effective occupational health, wellness and safety program.

3. Computer Skills needed (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Email). Previous experience within a manufacturing facility is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

III. Minimum education required for competent performance: Associates Nursing or Medical Assistant (MA)

Minimum experience (number of month/years and type of work experience beyond formal education) required for competent performance: 5 years

IV. Volume or unit measure of job duties:

Work varies, will be seeing employees that are having their yearly lab work completed. Mainly sedentary work with some data entry.

V. Equipment usage and abilities needed: Glucometer, Cardiocheck

VI. Conditions & Physical Demands of Job - Mainly sedentary
