As an Occupational Health Professional you will lead and deliver comprehensive occupational health services for employees. At Valero, we are committed to advancing the future of energy through innovation, ingenuity and unmatched execution. You can help achieve this goal if you can\:
- Provide on-site emergency and non-emergency medical care for occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Manage and maintain AED programs, emergency transportation plans, decontamination kits, medical response kits, and medical supplies.
- Communicate and train Emergency Response Team (ERT) and key stakeholders on medical protocols.
- Manage medical surveillance programs in accordance with OSHA regulations and corporate medical surveillance guidance.
- Coordinate/perform drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Substance Abuse Policy.
- Communicate expectations and provide ongoing support to employees throughout the return-to-work process, including review of medical released, determining fitness for duty and coordinating Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs).
- Coordinate and/or perform audiometric testing, pulmonary function testing, and respirator fit testing.
- Maintain secure, accurate, and complete occupational medical records, including electronic systems
- Provide medical, safety, and emergency response training, including First Aid, CPR, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
- Build and maintain relationships with local occupational medicine clinics, telemedicine providers, and specialty vendors.
- Support medical services for contractors, including initial injury care and navigation of medical treatment pathways.
This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.
